Tammy Tammy Tammy Oh Tammy NYP

Latest news regarding a 17 year-old girl who recorded her sex action with her boyfriend using a video cellphone. This is the article I found from TheStar.com.my. I guess this teaches all of us not to keep everything personal in your cellphone. God knows what will happen if you ever lose it. Nobody wants to be the next movie STAR of Tammy II :p. Enjoy the article.

Sex video clip under probe

NANYANG Polytechnic is investigating a rumour that a video clip of one of its students engaging in sexual acts is making its rounds on the Internet.

Local forums and blogs have been buzzing with the news of Tammy, said to be a 17-year-old Nanyang Polytechnic Information Technology student who had taped a sex act with her boyfriend on her mobile phone.

According to one blog entry, the cheerleader’s mobile phone was apparently stolen by a girl who was jealous of her popularity.

The thief found the 4.8MB video, uploaded it and mass e-mailed it to lecturers and other students.

According to the blog www.bexafraid.com, the couple were seen having sex in various positions in the 10-minute long video.

Other blog entries focused on the possibility of Tammy being expelled although it is believed to be unlikely that the video was shot on school grounds.

A group of hackers was also believed to have retrieved Tammy’s personal details from the school’s database and distributed it.

Blog entries about this incident started on Thursday but bloggers noted on their sites that they didn't want to be seen as distributing pornographic material by posting the video.

In an e-mail response on Sunday, Nanyang Polytechnic said that it has yet to identify the person in the video positively as one of its students.

When asked what kind of punishment would be meted out if Tammy or the student distributing the video was found to be one of its students, the school's spokesman said the school would first investigate to find out more about the matter before coming to any decision.

“The rumour that the polytechnic is looking into expelling the student is therefore untrue,” it added. – The Straits Times / Asia News Network

Life on Wednesday..

What's up everyone? Not much here. I had a boring lab today, and every Wednesday. My partner and I had to grow a culture of DNA (with the vector, insert and ligate and allll..into the bacteria). The worst part of all, it is a multiple-day lab where we need to enter the lab more than once a week. And now, I am supposed to figure out what to write for the lab report. OuCh!! Wanna know more about this lab? Go to http://www.biochem.wisc.edu/courses/biochem651/index.html. I really really doubt any of you guys will be interested but if you do, let me know what you think. Anyways, I browsed through an interesting piece of news today. It is amazing how ignorant these people are. People in Sydney...errr..There you go, the news from Reuter:

Lonely deaths of elderly shock Australia

By Michael Perry

SYDNEY (Reuters) - They were five lonely deaths and only discovered because of the stench of decomposing bodies, but the realisation that someone can die in their Sydney home unnoticed for months has shocked Australia's biggest city.

In the past 10 days, the bodies of five elderly Australians have been found in their loungeroom or bedroom -- one a mere skeleton after dying an estimated eight months ago.

The latest two, an elderly couple in their 80s, were found in their apartment on Tuesday on Sydney's affluent north shore, police said Wednesday.

"What sort of a heartless society can it be in which elderly are so irrelevant and unimportant that they can die alone and unnoticed, unmissed for months on end?," asked Sydney's The Daily Telegraph newspaper in its editorial on Wednesday.

"A society like ours, obviously."

Sydney won an international reputation as a warm and friendly city during the 2000 Olympics, but the elderly deaths have left many wondering what happened to their community.

"We have to come back to being a community, not only those that surround the older person living by themselves to make sure they are not isolated," Lillian Jeter, spokeswoman for the Elder Abuse Prevention Association told reporters on Tuesday.

Sydney's radio bristled on Tuesday with discussion on whether the city of four million people had become mean spirited.

A newspaper survey this week found half of Australians feel their country has become a meaner place in the past 10 years since Prime Minister John Howard first came to power in 1996.

The Sydney Morning Herald survey also found that one in 10 people felt Australia was a "less fair society".

The survey found the overwhelming majority supported Howard's economic stewardship, with Australia enjoying 15 years of growth, and his stand against terrorism, but 55 percent of people regarded the prime minister as divisive.

News of the elderly deaths in Sydney coincided with media reports that four elderly women suffering dementia, one aged 98, were allegedly raped while being cared for in nursing homes in the southern state of Victoria.

Police have charged one man with alleged sexual assault.

The Australian government has ordered an urgent summit on the country's care system for the aged following the rape reports.

Australian Minister for Ageing, Santo Santoro, said on Tuesday he will consider mandatory reporting of elderly abuse, with some pro-elderly groups claiming thousands of abuse cases a year.

"There can be no guarantees because bad people do bad things when you least expect them," Santoro told Australian television.

Missing for 3 months...

So yeah, I haven't penned down any thoughts for freaking 2 months plus. So what have I been doing all this while? I will try my very best to summarize it through some short descriptions and pictures. There you go, some of the highlights of my life..

I played in Madison Open (Badminton Tournament held in Madison, duh..) around mid-December in three events for the first time. By God's will, I emerged as 1st Runner-Up in the Men Singles event, Champion of Men Doubles (Group B) and 1st Runner-Up in Mixed Doubles (Group C:p) with this lovely girl, Anna.

One week after the lovely tournament, despite the achings and sores on my body, I had to undergo what the above picture shows, FINAL EXAMS! It was a good one for me though, probably thanks to my sores, I have to admit that I did pretty well for the exams:D.

Ta da, I am back in Penang (at the Arrival Hall Entrance of Penang International Airport) in no time. I boarded a flight two days after I finished my exams, that was on the 23rd December (already 24th in Malaysia). Like always, I hate the 'process' of flying back. You will understand what I mean if you have to burn your ass for approximately 20 hours and not getting adequate quality sleep. But since I have so much to look forward to, it was worth it.

Was in Cameron Highlands for a few days with my family. Visited the tea plantations, strawberry farm and cactus farm. Love the weather there. Only around 14.3°C to 26.3°C. How sweet will life be in Madison, Wisconsin if Madison is just like Cameron Highland. The second picture is a cactus plant which looks so similar to DURIAN ( Bombaceae Durio zibethinus L./Murr)!

The weekend I came back from Cameron, I and some of my friends played basketball in INTI. Guess what happened? I SPRAINED my right ankle. Arghhh, for the first time. This sucks. I was only playing for fun. I have to blame myself for all this mess. I wore my brother's running shoes knowing that its support for ankle is bad for any other activities besides running or jogging (unidirectional purpose shoes - running/jogging shoes). Screw myself for that! Results = I could not play any sports (especially badminton :( ) for three weeks plus.

Next thing I knew, I was back at Penang International Airport, this time at the entrance of the departure hall:(. Sad but true. The worst thing was, I was stranded at Changi (Singapore) Airport for 17 hours due to a cancelled flight (reason: bad weather at Japan). The airplane was not at the Airport since the it did not fly from Japan to pick me up:(. Fortunately though, I met one of my fellow-sponsormates (another JPA scholar studying in Madison), Saiful. So yeah, we overcame all the hurdles and landed on Madison Airport, 20 hours later than the initially expected time. What I learnt from this trip: (1) Do not try to play truant even if the classes aren't important (I came back one week late), (2) Do not trust American Airlines for International Flights (go for Asian Airlines), (3) Thanks to the cancelled flight, I got to sit an Asian Airline, SIA (Singapore Airline) which definitely costs me at least USD 200 more if I were to purchase SIA ticket.
